We took a hard look at yarn composition to create an ultralight sock that’s as comfortable as it is supportive. To deliver a seamless, light compressive hold along the foot, ankle, and lower leg, we blended a soft microfiber with Lycra, which yielded the best result. From there we targeted the arch, wrapping it with a ribbed band of airy mesh for further support and boosted breathability, along with a contrasting band along the Achilles for a clean finish.

Testing in warm weather eventually led us to Hydrogen, an ultrasoft microfiber with high elasticity, constructed with hydrogen yarns and Lycra to provide a targeted compressive hold on the foot, ankle, and lower leg. A 360-degree ribbed band along the arch keeps the foot cool and supported within the shoe.
